In her first job at SunTrust in the call center, some of Donna’s coworkers had disabilities.  She was impressed by each person’s commitment, skills, and the pride they each took in their work.  Her admiration was enforced by her manager’s strong leadership and commitment to caring not only for the bank’s customers with disabilities, but also its employees with disabilities.

Donna co-chairs the Central Virginia Region Diversity Council Affinity Team at SunTrust, BankAbility, ensuring accommodations to both the client and teammate as well as education and support.

A pet sitter for 20 years, Donna recently established a friendship with Guiding Eyes for the Blind, a nonprofit organization that enlists puppy raisers, puppy sitters, and other volunteers who support training for prospective guide dogs for persons with vision impairments.  When not caring for her canine charges, Donna loves to take her jeep on off road trail rides and beaches.
