Kerryn Sherrod Agyekum

Director, Diversity and Inclusion
Owens & Minor Medical, Inc.

Kerryn, an experienced leader in corporate diversity management, serves as a liaison between businesses and diverse communities. She identifies mutually beneficial partnership opportunities that further a company’s organizational goals and elevate and support community constituents.  She looks forward to bringing her leadership skills to the VABLN.

As a diversity and inclusion practitioner, it is invaluable to Kerryn to be knowledgeable about underserved and underrepresented communities. Her involvement with VABLN will provide her personally and professionally with the information and relationships needed to advance the mission of employing people with disabilities in her own organizations as well as among her corporate peers.

As a member of the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities (VCIC), Kerryn is growing her relationships with diversity and inclusion teams in Richmond area hospitals.  She hopes these partnerships will benefit both VABLN and the hospitals.

In a former life, Kerryn was a writer and communications professional and briefly worked as a writer for Hallmark Cards.  She holds a special place in her heart for miniature Pinschers.  She has one of her own and plans do volunteer rescue work in the near future.
