Howard Green



Howard Green, VCU

Howard Green is a faculty member at VCU-RRTC and previously worked for the Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services. Howard has his Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has been involved a number of projects and programs which provide training and technical assistance to businesses, community rehabilitation programs and state rehabilitation agencies, Currently, as the Business Liaison for VCU-RRTC, Howard coordinates activities with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, VCU Business Roundtable, American Staffing Association and SHRM. In addition Howard currently serves on the Board for the Virginia Business Leadership Network and been actively involved with the US Business Leadership Network.

In addition Howard serves as Director of Employment Services for the Virginia Commonwealth University RRTC Business Connection program. He manages five job coaches and oversees the employment programs serving individuals with disabilities from the Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services and Hunter McGuire Veterans Medical Center. Howard has coordinated and provided a number of training activities across the country on business development for the employment of people with disabilities.

Howard is currently working with a project funded by the Virginia Board for People with Disabilities to assist citizens with disabilities to access state employment through the state approved staffing vendors. In addition, he is working on business outreach efforts for the networks of Regional Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center ( DBTAC´s). Over the past 35 years Howard has been working with businesses and people with disabilities in efforts to assist with greater employment outcomes.
