Kathy is a Principal in the Health & Benefits practice of Mercer, a human resource consulting firm. During Kathy’s career, she has consulted with employers on both retirement and healthcare issues including long and short term disability benefits. Several factors have led Kathy to the VABLN including growing up on the grounds of a nursing home for veterans where her father was the administrator, the birth of a daughter with Prader Willi syndrome, a genetic disorder, and the loss of vision endured by her mother due to glaucoma. These experiences have enabled Kathy to recognize and value the unique qualities of members of the disabled community and also the barriers to employment.
Kathy serves on the Mercer Cares Committee for the Richmond office, the local organizing body for community outreach. She graduated summa cum laude from Utica College and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the Academy of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary, and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.
